 Update on City of Fort Worth Residential Tree and Debris Pickups after Severe Storms
 Summary: City crews and partners are assessing areas throughout Fort Worth in effort to remove fallen tree limbs and debris after recent storms.
Heavy rains hit Fort Worth late on Friday, September 8 and again on Sunday, September 10, resulting in multiple reports of fallen tree limbs and other storm-related debris in residential neighborhoods throughout the city.
TOP PRIORITY: The safety of residents is the highest priority of the City of Fort Worth. Currently, City staff, including the Code Compliance Department, is assessing residential neighborhoods and identifying areas most impacted by the storms in order to collect and remove piles in the most efficient and quickest routes possible.
HOW TO HELP: The City of Fort Worth understands the need to remove the fallen tree limbs and other storm debris for safety and other potential issues and are asking residents to help assess areas of damage.
If possible and safe to do so:
- Collect and place small tree limbs and storm debris out to be collected with your normal, weekly-scheduled yard waste collection. All limbs, leaves and debris will need to be properly bundled or fit in a yard waste bag or yard cart. Click for yard waste collection tips and guidelines.
- For large limbs and debris, place in a pile to be collected with your normal, monthly-scheduled bulk waste collection. All large limbs and debris will need to be properly piled, not to exceed 8 feet long by 6 feet wide by 6 feet tall. Click for bulk waste collection tips and guidelines.
- Residents are encouraged to utilize Drop-Off Stations free of charge for excess storm debris. Click for all Drop-Off Station locations and guidelines.
