Randol Mill Road Improvements
July Update
The next round of improvements for Randol Mill Road is about to begin. Here are a few highlights from the upcoming work.
Construction on the roundabout at Randol Mill Road and Precinct Line Road is expected to begin in mid-August and be completed by the fall of 2020. Electronic signs will be placed at the intersection two weeks ahead of the start date. As part of the construction, the intersection of Randol Mill and Precinct Line is anticipated to be closed from September 16 through October 2. The southbound detour will be Precinct Line Road to west Randol Mill Road to Cooks Lane to John T White Road and back to Randol Mill Road. The northbound detour will be left on John T. White to Cooks Lane to Randol Mill Road to Precinct Line Road. A detour map will be created and sent out prior to the closure.
The paving of Randol Mill Road has been divided into two phases to ease congestion due to construction. Phase one, Randol Mill from Old Randol Mill Road to Precinct Line Road, is expected to begin in late August and is anticipated to take four months to complete. Phase two, Randol Mill Road from Precinct Line Road to Racquet Club, is expected to begin in early January and will be completed by early summer 2020.
