Google Classroom

Get a head start on preparing for your best school year yet with Google Classroom training, hosted by the ESC-2. Whether you’re new to G Suite altogether or have used Classroom in the past, there will be something for everyone. Explore the functions of Google classroom from initial setup to course completion, including all of the latest feature updates from Google.

 

Teachers will learn to increase engagement and meaningful collaboration among students. Administrators will benefit too-- use Google Classroom as a tool to lead staff meetings, host campus PLCs, and improve teacher observations.  Space is limited, register early.

Summer Workshops

3D Design for 3D Printing

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of 3D design, including how to create, prepare and print a 3D model, using free software.

Coding on the TI-Nspire

Come explore ready-to-go resources that can help you introduce your students to coding and computer science concepts. Classroom activities using the TI-Codes and the TI-Innovator will be covered.

A to Z with Google Forms

Go further with Google Forms! Participants will explore the functions of Google forms as a formative assessment tool and more. Learn to create simple polls and surveys to more complex quizzes. Participants will also learn about unconventional uses for Forms such as taking inventory, reading logs, parent communication and more.

2017 DMAC Academy

Join us for 3-days of intensive training in all things DMAC! Each day will highlight new features in the software as well as provide you with tips and tricks for using it efficiently at your campus. DMAC Academy will provide an opportunity for hands-on experience and Q&A with the experts. Come one day or all three! Space is limited, register early!

TEA Update

  • Technology Applications Courses, such as Computer Science I, II, or III may continue to meet the two-credit languages other than English (LOTE) requirement for graduation on the Foundation High School Program.   
  •  The Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) offers LOTE courses approved by the TEA, including Computer Science I and II.
