Welcome to the ESC Region 11 English Language Arts and Reading newsletter. This quarterly newsletter, hosted by the ELAR team, provides up-to-date information on all professional development sessions and strategy spotlights.

As the school year comes to a close, we hope you take a moment to reflect on the incredible growth you and your students have made. From strengthening foundational skills to deepening comprehension and writing, your impact this year truly matters. As you head into summer, know that we are already gearing up to support your continued learning. We are offering a wide range of professional learning sessions designed to build on your successes and support your next steps in ELAR instruction. The literary list received first reading and filing authorization in April and is now scheduled for second reading and final adoption approval in June. Preliminary literary works lists approved by the SBOE during first reading will be posted for public comment on May 15 on the Proposed State Board of Education Rules | Texas Education Agency
