Foundations for Literacy: A Reading Curriculum for Young Children Who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
The 2025 Foundations for Literacy training will be held via Zoom on the following dates this year:
- July 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- July 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- July 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- July 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This training is appropriate for teachers, paraprofessionals, and SLPs working in the classroom with children who are DHH in PreK, Kindergarten, and first grade. Supervisors or administrators may also attend the training. If someone in your program is interested in FFL, please have them complete an application by clicking on the button below. Completing an application does not guarantee attendance to the training. Upon acceptance to the training, additional information will be sent along with the registration link.
This training is provided at no cost to the participants. Curriculum kits for teachers and materials for the training will be provided. Curriculum kits will be mailed to the RDSPD supervisor after the training has been completed.
