A Note From Jacob and Stephanie
Hello, Region 11 CTE and CCMR,
With the new season comes incredible opportunities for our students! This time of year brings a renewed focus on preparing for CTSO state and national competitions, where students can showcase their skills and hard work on a bigger stage. It’s also a crucial time to support students in earning industry certifications, equipping them with valuable credentials for future careers.
Spring Break is a much-needed time to recharge, and when we return, we’ll be gearing up for the final push of the school year. Let’s continue to empower and inspire our students to seize these opportunities and finish strong!
Thank you for all you do to guide them toward success.
Sincerely,
Jacob and Stephanie

Grow Your Own High School Education & Training Grant District Application
Started in 2018, the Texas Education Agency Grow Your Own (GYO) program continues with a grant to support high school education and training programming. The program’s purpose is for districts to intentionally build strong, stable, and diverse teacher pipelines from within their own communities based on district-specific teacher workforce needs. This grant focuses on the recruitment of future educators by building interest in teaching among high school students, developing their foundational knowledge and skills of teaching, attracting diverse and highly skilled teachers to lead education and training programs, and implementing high-quality education and training courses.
The grant application window opened on January 31, 2025, and closes on April 1, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. (CST). The anticipated award announcement will be made on May 8, 2025, with the beginning date of the grant on June 1, 2025 (if selected for funding).
