FORT WORTH The plan for Fort Worth for winter sheltering:
- The unhoused will need to check into the shelters in Fort Worth each day.
-
Once the shelters fill up, the plan is to have those who need shelter overnight during the winter to dial 311 and choose option 9 to see if overnight sheltering is being activated (it will be dependent upon the temperatures overnight).
- If it is being activated, they will need to report to the flag pole building at 1100 East Lancaster in Fort Worth to check in and be screened.
- Trinity Metro will bus people between the hours of 8 p.m.-9:30 p.m. to the overnight shelter (the location is not being shared with the public).
- They will have everyone load back up onto the buses in the morning, and they will be dropped off in front of True Worth.
Please share with your families and colleagues.
Thanks all! Stay Safe and Warm!
