Fine Arts IMRA Update
Public Access and Comment Period Now Open
Instructional materials submitted for consideration in the Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) Cycle 2026 are now available for public access and review. Texas stakeholders, including educators, parents, and community members, are invited to review the submitted materials and provide public comments during the established comment period.
Submitted instructional materials are available for public review and feedback from Friday, May 1, 2026, through Friday, July 31, 2026, via the SBOE.
All public comments submitted during this period are shared with publishers for review and response.
Publisher responses to public comments, along with the original public comments, are compiled and provided to the State Board of Education (SBOE) as part of the materials reviewed in advance of the SBOE’s vote on instructional materials scheduled for November 2026. This process ensures transparency and allows public input to inform the board’s decision‑making.
