We know that summer means a possible shift in roles and employment for the upcoming school year. We want to make sure that TIA schedules, notifications, and updates reach the right people on your team. If you need to update your TIA point of contact(s), please email the TEA team at tia@tea.texas.gov.
If you have recently requested updates, your changes will take effect within 3-5 business days.
Spending Deadline Approaching -Fully Approved and Provisionally Approved Districts (that have issued designations)
Remember, all districts are required to expend all teacher-generated funds annually by August 31 each year, including any TIA funds allocated for district-level expenses. There are no Program Intent Codes (PIC) associated with TIA. Districts may align expenditures with other similar payments. Fee reimbursements are not subject to the August 31 spending deadline.

Reminder: Annual Program Submission is due on August 29, 2025. You can access more information about Annual Program Submission through this link.

Student Survey Pilot -All Districts
Join the Student Survey Pilot! For the 2025–26 school year, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and Texas Tech University are offering free access to the 7Cs Student Perception Survey, a research-based tool that captures student feedback on seven key instructional competencies aligned with T-TESS. The survey has been shown to correlate with student achievement and offer valuable insight into teacher effectiveness.
We are looking for 40 districts to participate. If you are interested, simply complete this form: Join the pilot program.
To learn more, we invite you to attend our upcoming informational webinar on Wednesday, August 27 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Student Survey Pilot Informational Webinar
Note: Districts participating in the student survey pilot would not be required to use the survey data to determine TIA designations. However, districts may choose to do so for Fall 2026 Data Submission. If there is significant interest in the pilot program, TEA may open a selection process.
