Newly Certified and New Teacher Hires Dashboards

The Newly Certified and New Teacher Hires Dashboards provide an improved understanding of the routes to being hired as a teacher for newly hired educators, as well as the relationship between teacher preparation, certification pathways, and new teacher hires in Texas public schools.

New: Updated Completed Studies 

Several reports created and maintained by the EDRS-EPCE team at TEA have been updated to reflect employment data from the 2023-2024 school year. These reports can be found on the Educator Reports and Data page. Reports that have been updated include but are not limited to:  

• Employed Teacher Attrition and New Hires 2014-2015 through 2023-2024 
• Teacher Retention by Preparation Route 2013-2014 through 2022-2023
• Teacher Retention by Pathway to First Year of Teaching 2013-2014 through 2022-2023

Alternative Principal Certification Program

Do you know any strong teacher leaders that would make great campus or district administrators one day?    Why wait for some day?  Grow your leadership pipeline now by encouraging them to start their principal certification journey with CoLA! 

Through ESC-20’s CoLA Program, candidates will have the opportunity to earn their principal certificate in as little as one year.  We are currently accepting applications for Cohort 28 which begins this summer.  Interested applicants are asked to attend a free online CoLA Information Session to gain detailed information about our program requirements and expectations.   Registration can be accessed through the QR code in the flyer below.  The application deadline is May 27, 2024.
