Make drug safety a habit
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) began its National Prescription Drug Take Back Day in 2010. Since that time, the DEA has collected and safely destroyed nearly 5,000 tons of expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs—that’s about the weight of 25 blue whales or 1000 African elephants.
On October 27, 2018 you can participate in the effort to dispose unused
prescriptions safely. Drug safety involves more than knowing how to get rid of
unused prescriptions, however. It also includes how to take prescription and
