Eat more fruits and veggies
Most of us know that eating healthier means filling our plates with more fruits and vegetables. Still, most of us don’t do it. In fact, studies show that more than 90% of both adults and children do not eat the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables. This month, follow these tips to add more apples and avocados, banana and beans, and cucumbers and cantaloupe (we could keep going, but we won’t) to your diet.
State wellness coordinators share ideas to promote wellness in the workplace
When Lacy Wolff joined ERS in June as ERS’ health promotion administrator, she pledged to give wellness coordinators across the state a chance to talk with each other about health and wellness initiatives for their employees. The first of these forums was held in August in Austin. We have a report.
