Closure Notice
WEEKEND NIGHTLY CLOSURES
11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 through Monday, Dec. 15, 2025
The closures for this weekend at the Loop 1604 and I-10 interchange will only take place overnight between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. There are no planned daytime weekend closures at the interchange.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures for bridge construction:
- Eastbound (EB) Loop 1604 frontage road between La Cantera Parkway and the interchange
- EB Loop 1604 exit ramp before the interchange
- EB I-10 frontage road from Via La Cantera to the interchange
- Westbound (WB) I-10 frontage road north of the interchange to La Cantera Parkway
This weekend nightly closure is expected from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 through Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, weather permitting. Law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time, as needed. Please follow detour signage.
DETOUR INFORMATION:
EB Loop 1604 Frontage Road
Drivers on the EB Loop 1604 frontage road looking to continue through the I-10 interchange will enter the EB Loop 1604 mainlanes after Kyle Seale Parkway and follow the EB Loop 1604 mainlanes through the I-10 interchange. Drivers may exit via the NW Military Highway exit to re-enter the EB Loop 1604 frontage road.
EB I-10 Frontage Road
Drivers on the EB I-10 frontage road will turn right onto Via La Cantera and follow it to the WB Loop 1604 frontage road. Travelers will be able to enter the WB Loop 1604 mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Drivers looking to return to the EB I-10 frontage road will use the U-turn from WB to EB Loop 1604 at Kyle Seale Parkway and enter the EB Loop 1604 mainlanes via the first entrance ramp and will follow signs to EB I-10. Drivers may exit to the EB I-10 frontage road via the first available exit ramp.
WB I-10 Frontage Road
Drivers on the WB I-10 frontage road will turn left onto the WB Loop 1604 frontage road. They will use the U-turn at Kyle Seale Parkway and enter the EB Loop 1604 frontage road. They will enter the EB Loop 1604 mainlanes via the first entrance ramp and will follow signs to WB I-10. Drivers may exit to the WB I-10 frontage road via the first available exit ramp.
WB Loop 1604 to WB I-10
Drivers on the WB Loop 1604 mainlanes looking to access WB I-10 will follow signs to EB I-10 via the flyover ramp, entering the EB I-10 mainlanes. Drivers will exit via Exit 558 to the EB I-10 frontage road and use the U-turn at De Zavala Road to enter the WB I-10 frontage road. Drivers may enter the WB I-10 mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. They may exit to the WB I-10 frontage road via the first available exit ramp after the interchange.
