WEEKEND NIGHTLY CLOSURES
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 through Monday, Oct. 6, 2025
WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures for bridge construction:
- Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) mainlanes from the exit ramp after La Cantera Parkway to the entrance ramp after NW Military Highway
- Loop 1604 westbound (WB) frontage road from Vance Jackson Road to the I-10 interchange
- Loop 1604 WB mainlanes right lane at the I-10 interchange
- Loop 1604 WB exit ramp just before the I-10 interchange
- I-10 EB mainlanes alternating closure at the Loop 1604 interchange
- I-10 EB frontage road from Via La Cantera to Loop 1604
- I-10 WB frontage road at the Loop 1604 interchange
- I-10 EB to Loop 1604 EB cloverleaf
This weekend nightly closure is expected from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 through Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, weather permitting. Law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time, as needed. Please follow detour signage.
DETOUR INFORMATION:
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes
Travelers on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes will exit to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road via the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp (before the I-10 interchange). They will follow the Loop 1604 EB frontage road and may re-enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the entrance ramp east of NW Military Highway.
Loop 1604 WB Frontage Road
Travelers on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road looking to continue through the I-10 interchange will turn around at Vance Jackson Road using the signalized turnaround and enter the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. They will then use the turnaround at Lockhill Selma Road, re-entering the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. They will then enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp and follow it to the Kyle Seale Parkway exit ramp, entering the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Travelers looking to access I-10 EB and WB may use the turnaround at Kyle Seale Parkway, entering the Loop 1604 EB frontage road and then enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Travelers will then follow signs to I-10 EB and WB and take the flyover ramp in their desired direction.
Loop 1604 WB Frontage Road and I-10 EB Frontage Road
Travelers on the I-10 EB frontage road will turn right onto Via La Cantera and follow it to the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Travelers will be able to enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Travelers looking to return to the I-10 EB frontage road will use the turnaround from Loop 1604 WB to EB at La Cantera Parkway and follow the Loop 1604 EB frontage road back to the I-10 EB frontage road.
