through 5 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2025
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures for bridge construction:
- US 281 NB and SB mainlanes at the Loop 1604 intersection
- US 281 NB frontage road at the Loop 1604 intersection
- Loop 1604 WB mainlanes from Gold Canyon Road to the US 281 interchange
This weekend closure will occur from 9 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025 through 5 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, weather permitting. Law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time, as needed. Please follow detour signage.
DETOUR INFORMATION
US 281 NB Detour
All traffic looking to continue on the US 281 NB mainlanes through the Loop 1604 interchange will exit via the Henderson Pass exit to the US 281 NB frontage road. They will turn right onto the Loop 1604 EB frontage road and follow it to the turnaround at Gold Canyon Road, entering the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Travelers will then turn right onto the US 281 NB frontage road, following it to re-enter the US 281 NB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
US 281 SB Detour
All traffic looking to continue on the US 281 SB mainlanes through the Loop 1604 interchange will exit via the Redland Road exit to the US 281 SB frontage road. They will turn right onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road and follow it to the turnaround at Stone Oak Parkway, entering the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Travelers will then turn right onto the US 281 SB frontage road, following it to re-enter the US 281 SB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 WB Mainlane Detour
All Loop 1604 WB traffic will access the Loop 1604 WB frontage road via the exit just before the US 281 interchange. Travelers will continue on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road through the US 281 interchange. Travelers may re-enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
