Closure Notice
FRIDAY NIGHT CLOSURES
9 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025
through 5 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures for bridge construction:
- Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) mainlanes from the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp to the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp
- Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes from the Lockhill Selma Road exit ramp to the entrance ramp west of the I-10 interchange
- Loop 1604 EB and WB frontage road at the I-10 interchange
- I-10 EB mainlanes left lane at the Loop 1604 interchange
- I-10 EB frontage road south of the Loop 1604 interchange
- I-10 WB mainlanes and bypass lane at the Loop 1604 interchange
- I-10 EB cloverleaf exit ramp (southwest cloverleaf) to the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes
These closures are expected from 9 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025 through 5 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, weather permitting. Law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time, as needed. Please follow detour signage.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes and Frontage Road
Traffic traveling on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes and frontage road will use the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes to exit to I-10 EB. They will then exit via Exit 557 to the I-10 EB frontage road. Travelers will use the UTSA Boulevard turnaround and enter the I-10 WB frontage road, following it to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic will be able enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes and Frontage Road
Traffic traveling on the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes will exit at the Lockhill Selma Road exit ramp and continue on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Traffic will keep right to the I-10 WB frontage road and follow it to the La Cantera Road turnaround, entering the I-10 EB frontage road. Travelers will keep right to return to the Loop 1604 WB frontage road and will be able to re-enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first entrance ramp after the I-10 interchange.
I-10 EB to Loop 1604 EB
Traffic traveling on the I-10 EB mainlanes looking to access Loop 1604 EB continue through the Loop 1604 interchange and exit via Exit 557 to the I-10 EB frontage road. Travelers will use the UTSA Boulevard turnaround and enter the I-10 WB frontage road, following it to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic will be able enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp.
I-10 WB Mainlanes
Traffic traveling on the I-10 WB mainlanes looking to continue through the Loop 1604 interchange will take the frontage road Exit 556 B exit ramp (just north of UTSA Boulevard and continue on the I-10 WB frontage road through the Loop 1604 interchange. Travelers may re-enter the I-10 WB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.

Traffic traveling on the Loop 1604 EB frontage road will enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes before the I-10 interchange and use the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes to exit to I-10 EB. They will then exit via Exit 557 to the I-10 EB frontage road. Travelers will use the UTSA Boulevard turnaround and enter the I-10 WB frontage road, following it to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic will be able enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the first entrance ramp after the I-10 interchange.
Loop 1604 WB Frontage Road
Traffic traveling on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road will keep right to the I-10 WB frontage road and follow it to the La Cantera Road turnaround, entering the I-10 EB frontage road. Travelers will keep right to return to the Loop 1604 WB frontage road.
I-10 WB Mainlanes
Traffic traveling on the I-10 WB mainlanes looking to continue through the Loop 1604 interchange will take the frontage road Exit 556 B exit ramp (just north of UTSA Boulevard and continue on the I-10 WB frontage road through the Loop 1604 interchange. Travelers may re-enter the I-10 WB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.
