 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require a closure of the I-10 Eastbound (EB) frontage road south of Loop 1604, the Loop 1604 EB exit ramp to I-10 EB, the I-10 EB mainlanes single lane from Loop 1604 to the UTSA Boulevard exit ramp, the I-10 EB bypass lane south of the Loop 1604 interchange, the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) bypass lane, and the Loop 1604 WB exit ramp to I-10 WB for bridge construction.
The closures are expected from 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 through 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, weather permitting. Please note these are the minimum closures required for the anticipated work. All closures are subject to change and modification as necessary. Law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time, as needed.
DETOUR INFORMATION
I-10 EB Frontage Road
All travelers on the I-10 EB frontage road looking to continue south of Loop 1604 will turn left onto the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. They will then turn left onto the I-10 WB frontage road and follow it to the La Cantera Parkway turnaround. Travelers will enter the I-10 EB mainlanes at entrance ramp just south of La Cantera Parkway and follow the I-10 EB mainlanes to Exit 557, re-entering the I-10 EB frontage road.
Loop 1604 EB to I-10 EB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes and frontage road looking to access the I-10 EB mainlanes or frontage road will utilize the Vance Jackson Road exit to enter the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. They will then turn left onto the I-10 westbound (WB) frontage road and follow it to the La Cantera Parkway turnaround. Travelers will enter the I-10 EB mainlanes at entrance ramp just south of La Cantera Parkway. Those wishing to access the I-10 EB frontage road will follow the I-10 EB mainlanes to Exit 557, entering the I-10 EB frontage road.
Loop 1604 WB to I-10 EB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes and frontage road looking to access the I-10 WB or EB mainlanes or frontage road will utilize the I-10 exit ramp to enter the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. They will then keep right onto the I-10 WB frontage road. Those looking to access the I-10 WB mainlanes will enter the I-10 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Those looking to access I-10 EB will and follow the I-10 WB frontage road to the La Cantera Parkway turnaround. Travelers will enter the I-10 EB mainlanes at entrance ramp just south of La Cantera Parkway. Those wishing to access the I-10 EB frontage road will follow the I-10 EB mainlanes to Exit 557, entering the I-10 EB frontage road.
