Loop 1604 Westbound from the Babcock Road Exit Ramp to the Hausman Road Entrance Ramp
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will close the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes from the Babcock Road exit ramp to the Hausman Road entrance ramp for milling and paving.
The weeknight closure will be from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. from Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, through Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, weather permitting.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes
Loop 1604 WB mainlane traffic will exit via the Babcock Road exit and continue on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road through the Babcock Road, Kyle Seale Parkway and Hausman Road intersections. Traffic may re-enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first entrance ramp after Bandera Road.
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes to I-10 WB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes looking to access I-10 WB will exit at the Vance Jackson Road exit to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. They will follow signs toward I-10 EB and enter the I-10 EB frontage road, following it to the UTSA Boulevard turnaround. Travelers will then enter the I-10 WB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes to I-10 WB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road and mainlanes looking to access I-10 WB will enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes after Tradesman Drive and follow signs for I-10 EB. Travelers will utilize the cloverleaf bringing them on to the I-10 EB mainlanes, and then exit to the I-10 EB frontage road via Exit 557. Travelers will then utilize the UTSA Boulevard turnaround, entering the I-10 WB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.
Note: All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.

 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures of the I-10 westbound (WB) mainlanes and collector-distributor at the Loop 1604 interchange, the I-10 eastbound (EB) mainlanes and collector-distributor at the Loop 1604 interchange, the Loop 1604 WB collector-distributor and frontage road at the I-10 interchange, the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes from the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp to the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp, the I-10 EB frontage road north of Loop 1604, the I-10 EB exit ramp south of La Cantera Parkway (Exit 556 B), the I-10 WB mainlane exit ramp to the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes and the Loop 1604 WB mainlane exit ramp to the I-10 WB mainlanes. Additionally, all four cloverleaf ramps will be closed. These closures will be in place for bridge construction and bent cap placement.
The closures are expected for one night only from 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024 through 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, weather permitting. Please note these are the minimum closures required for the anticipated work. All closures are subject to change and modification as necessary. Local law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time.
DETOUR INFORMATION
I-10 EB to Loop 1604 EB
All travelers on the I-10 EB mainlanes looking to access Loop 1604 EB will follow signs for Loop 1604 WB. After entering Loop 1604 WB, travelers will exit onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. They will then utilize the turnaround at La Cantera Boulevard, entering the Loop 1604 EB frontage road, continuing through the I-10 interchange, and enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
I-10 WB Mainlanes and to Loop 1604 WB
All travelers on the I-10 WB mainlanes will exit at Exit 556 B to the I-10 WB frontage road. Those looking to return to the I-10 WB mainlanes will follow the I-10 WB frontage road through the Loop 1604 interchange, re-entering the mainlanes via the next available entrance ramp. Those looking to access Loop 1604 WB will continue on the I-10 WB frontage road to the La Cantera Parkway turnaround, entering the I-10 EB frontage road. They will enter the I-10 EB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp then will follow signs for Loop 1604 WB. After entering Loop 1604 WB, travelers will exit onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road, and can re-enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes and to I-10 WB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes will exit at the Vance Jackson Road exit to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Those looking to access I-10 WB will turn left onto the I-10 WB frontage road, entering the I-10 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Those looking to return to the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes will follow the Loop 1604 EB frontage road through the I-10 interchange and re-enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes to I-10 EB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes looking to access I-10 EB will exit to the Loop 1604 WB frontage road just before the I-10 interchange. They will follow signs for I-10 WB and follow the I-10 WB frontage road to the La Cantera Parkway turnaround, entering the I-10 EB frontage road. They will enter the I-10 EB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp, and will follow signs for Loop 1604 WB. After entering Loop 1604 WB, travelers will exit onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. They will then utilize the turnaround at La Cantera Boulevard, entering the Loop 1604 EB frontage road, following signs for I-10 EB. They may enter the I-10 EB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.

US 281 Northbound Frontage Road at the Loop 1604 Interchange
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures of the I-10 westbound (WB) collector-distributor at the Loop 1604 interchange, I-10 WB mainlane right lane at the Loop 1604 interchange, the I-10 eastbound (EB) frontage road north of Loop 1604, the I-10 EB exit ramp south of La Cantera Parkway (Exit 556 B), and the Loop 1604 EB WB mainlanes, collector-distributors and frontage roads at the I-10 interchange. Additionally the I-10 WB to Loop 1604 EB exit ramp, the Loop 1604 WB to I-10 WB exit ramp, and all four cloverleaf ramps will be closed. These closures will be in place for bridge construction and bent cap placement.

All travelers on the I-10 EB mainlanes looking to access Loop 1604 EB will continue through the Loop 1604 interchange and exit to the I-10 EB frontage road via Exit 557 and utilize the turnaround at UTSA Boulevard. They will follow the I-10 WB frontage road to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road, entering the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
I-10 WB Mainlanes to Loop 1604 WB
All travelers on the I-10 WB mainlanes looking to access Loop 1604 WB will exit via Exit 556 B to the I-10 WB frontage road. They will follow the I-10 WB frontage road and turn left at the signalized intersection onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Travelers may enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes and to I-10 WB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes will exit at the Vance Jackson Road exit to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road and follow signs to I-10 EB. Travelers will utilize the turnaround at UTSA Boulevard, entering the I-10 WB frontage road. Those looking to access the I-10 WB mainlanes will utilize the first available entrance ramp. Those looking to return to Loop 1604 EB will follow the I-10 WB frontage road to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road, entering the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes and to I-10 EB and I-10 WB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes will exit to the Loop 1604 WB frontage road just before the I-10 interchange. Those looking to re-enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes will continue through the I-10 interchange and enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Travelers looking to access I-10 will utilize the signalized left turn onto the I-10 EB frontage road. Those looking to access I-10 EB may enter the I-10 EB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Those looking to access I-10 WB will continue on the I-10 EB frontage road to the UTSA Boulevard turnaround, entering the I-10 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
