Closure Notice

DAYTIME ALTERNATING CLOSURE

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024

• Blanco Road Northbound and Southbound Mainlanes from Loop 1604 Eastbound Frontage Road to Talavera Parkway

WHAT TO EXPECT

As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will close Blanco Road northbound (NB) and southbound (SB) lanes from the Loop 1604 eastbound frontage road to Talavera Parkway to place asphalt at the storm drainage and gas crossings along Blanco Road. This work is also necessary to remove the steel street plates along Blanco Road and restore pavement to provide benefit to travelers.

Due to material availability, the closure will take place during daytime hours. The closure will occur one day only, beginning 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, weather permitting. Closures will be alternating and will not be closed at the same time.

Travelers are encouraged  to seek alternative routes during this time. Please note all residents and businesses located along this segment will retain access at all times.
