The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed on the following days for the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays:
Wednesday, December 24
Thursday, December 25
Friday, December 26
Thursday, January 1
Note for motor carriers: The Oversize/Overweight Permits Section will be open during regular business hours on Friday, December 26. Because we will have limited support from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) during the week of December 22-26, customers are encouraged to apply for permits as soon as possible, particularly for trips that may require routing assistance or approvals from TxDOT.
