The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles is preparing to launch the new Texas Motor Carrier Credentialing System (TxMCCS) later this summer. TxMCCS is a modernized, online system for motor carrier credentialing and account management that will replace both the current Motor Carrier Credentialing System (MCCS) and the Electronic Licensing, Insurance, and Credentialing (eLINC) system. The system will be used by motor carriers, licensing agents, and insurance companies and will ensure carrier credentials are accessible to law enforcement.
Key benefits of TxMCCS include:
-
Mobile-friendly access from desktops, tablets, and smartphones,
-
Improved system performance and response time,
-
24/7 online access to manage accounts and conduct business,
-
Enhanced self-service features, including online document uploads, password resets, and account requests, and
-
Expanded account tools, including alerts, notifications, data exports, and immediate cab card printing.
What to Expect Next As we move closer to implementation, TxDMV will provide additional details to you regarding:
- Transition timelines,
- Account migration steps,
- Training opportunities, and
- System access instructions.
The Motor Carrier Division appreciates your partnership and support as our team prepares to deliver a more efficient and user-friendly credentialing experience.
