RTS County Release Notes 26.2 (05/14/2026 @ 3:50 PM)

Good afternoon,

On the evening of May 16, 2026, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) will update
the Registration and Titling System (RTS) with Release 26.2 which contains the content summarized
below. 


Enhancements:

•  Void-Voiding Report Modification

•  (SB2007) Voluntary Military Indicator to provide U.S. Armed Forces Membership and Status

•  TxDMV Identification Verification for Vehicle Registration

•  RTS to allow an exchange from a Machinery Plate to a Frac Tank Plate

•  Inventory Inquiry Report - Add INVCNO, INVCDATE to Current Balance Report

•  IVTRS (SB2007) Voluntary Military Indicator to Provide U.S. Armed Forces Membership and Status

•  REGID: Temp Permits and Temp Plates (72/144 hr., One-Trip/30-Day) & Non-Resident Agriculture 

•  REGID: Add Country Dropdown for Foreign Passport Selection
