Initial Notification: 72-Hour & 144-Hour Permits Issues (11/14/2022 @ 1:20 PM)

Good afternoon,

TxDMV is aware that some RTS users are receiving errors when processing 72hr/144hr Permits. 
Support staff has identified the issue and a fix is scheduled to be deployed after business hours.

As a workaround, 72hr/144hr Permits can be processed online at:
https://www.txdmv.gov/motorists/register-your-vehicle/temporary-permits

An update will be sent once more information is available or the issue is resolved.
