Senate Bill 952, effective September 1, 2017, amends Property Code, Sections 59.044 and 59.045, to allow self-service storage facilities to conduct public sales through an Internet website that is accessible to the public.
As a result, Self-Service Storage Facility Lien Foreclosure (Form VTR-265-SSF) has been revised to accommodate an Internet sale and is attached for your convenience. Self-service storage facilities may list the address of the Internet website in the “Physical Location or Website of Public Sale” field on Form VTR-265-SSF. Existing versions of the Form VTR-265-SSF remain acceptable. Record the Internet website in the “Location of Public Sale” field if using a previous version of Form VTR-265-SSF, and the public sale was conducted through an Internet website.
