Combination plates issuance and reallocation

Good afternoon,

 

After the RTS 8.8.0 Release, the month and year of registration expiration will no longer be embossed on Combination license plates when manufactured.

 

In an effort to clarify when to issue 2017 embossed vs. the new multi-year Combination license plates, please review the following scenarios below:

• 2017 embossed Combination license plates are issued for replacement plates and/or sticker transactions (March 2017 expiration)

• New non-embossed multi-year Combination license plates are issued for title transactions with a transaction date on or after January 1, 2017 and registration renewals  

Also, please note that 2017 embossed Combination license plates are not able to be reallocated in RTS Point of Sale. To reallocate 2017 embossed Combination license plates, please contact the Service Desk.
