DFPS’s Child Protective Services (CPS) and Child Protective Investigations (CPI) programs updated their shared policy handbook recently. The changes address the following topics:
- Actions that are not considered to be neglect.
- Release of school investigation reports.
- Assessment of caregivers.
- Situations in which a caseworker must request a child’s birth certificate and provide it to the attorney representing DFPS.
