With the end of the Public Health Emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic, DFPS has implemented some changes in the reporting and tracking of COVID-19 infections. DFPS will no longer require notice to the COVID mailbox when a youth is tested for COVID-19. This box will be disabled and is no longer being monitored. Placements should continue to notify caseworkers directly of any diagnosis a youth in their care receives, including COVID-19. Please refer to your Residential Contract regarding Serious Incident Reporting Requirements.
Additionally, facilities no longer need to complete the Survey Monkey reporting infections rates. Standard in-person visitation will resume entirely except if there are factors unrelated to COVID-19 which require this.
