What's it All About?
The 40th Annual Texas Adult Protective Services (APS) Conference will be October 10-13, 2023, at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas.
The APS mission is to protect older adults and persons with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. But we don’t do this work alone! APS counts on the efforts of a wide variety of partners. The conference will provide an opportunity to highlight the importance of the unsung heroes who help serve our vulnerable clients.
"One Team, One Goal"
APS honor its partners at the conference and launch a campaign to foster strong and effective collaborations in communities across Texas. The theme will be APS and Texas Communities Working Together: Partnering to Protect Lives and Preserve the Dignity of Vulnerable Adults.
Ensuring the safety and preserving the dignity of vulnerable adults is noble work and our clients deserve the best. Alone, we may be limited in what we can do, but working together with the many unsung heroes in healthcare, social services, law enforcement, the judiciary, and other disciplines, we can find solutions and resources as well as identify the system changes that may be needed to reduce abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
