The End of Continuous Medicaid Coverage and How You Can Help

We want to encourage you to join Faith Based and Community Engagement and Texas Health and Human Services staff for a webinar on March 10th from 1:00-2:00 pm to discuss the implications of the End of Continuous Medicaid Coverage and how you can support members of your community and congregations in renewing their benefits. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government declared a public health emergency (PHE) and passed a law that allowed Medicaid users to automatically keep their Medicaid coverage (continuous Medicaid).

Based on new federal law, continuous Medicaid eligibility will end on March 31, 2023. Eligible recipients will have to renew their benefits to make sure coverage will continue. Failure to respond to renewal or information requests from HHS could mean loss of coverage.

To learn more before the webinar review this Medicaid Ambassador Toolkit from Texas Health and Human Services to understand how you can provide guidance, help, and resources to Medicaid eligible clients.
