Be Strong Families COVID-19 Daily WebinarsBe Strong Families is hosting a free series of webinars in English (12:00pm CDT) and Spanish (1:30pm CDT) daily. Check out their website for topics including grieving experiences and expectations, family storytelling workshop, self-care for caregivers, financial resilience, and candid experiences of COVID-19.

Computational Propaganda and COVID-19: UTHealth School of Public Health and the Michael ad Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CST) to explore the role of social media in perpetuating misinformation about COVID-19. In particular, Dr. Woolley will explore how different digital tools (bots, sock puppets, etc.) and new manipulation tactics (nanoinfluence, Instagram influence 'pods') are used to spread manipulative, often false, information about the disease and the pandemic.

Texas Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee Seeks Qualified Applicants

Participate in Virtual Violence Prevention Program

Sandy Hook Promise is partnering with the Texas School Safety Center to bring Say Something, a violence prevention program, to middle and high schools in Texas. Say Something is a no-cost, easy-to-implement program that helps school personnel and school-based law enforcement teach students how to recognize warning signs of potential violence or self-harm and how to intervene. The thought of it can be intimidating for some; this course will give you the confidence to negotiate.

Achieve OnDemand: Basics of Home Visiting (Self-Paced Course)

During this course, you will learn how your strengths and motivations will help you care for home visitors, who are committed to the best possible life for babies and their parents, and connect with families of all kinds. This course serves as an introduction or valuable refresher on fundamentals such as how to plan for home visits; set goals with families; and handle the unexpected challenges your job presents.

This Achieve OnDemand learning experience qualifies for .3 IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Full completion and/or attendance of the learning experience, a passing score on any post-test(s), and completion of the end of course evaluation are required to be awarded IACET CEUs.
