"Catch up to Get Ahead" Immunization Campaign

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to worrisome declines in well-child visits and routine immunization rates. During National Immunization Awareness Month, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is urging healthcare providers and parents to “catch-up to get ahead” on childhood immunizations. HHS is offering a free library of social media posts for providers to promote immunizations in your community. Visit Vaccines.gov for more information.

Achieve OnDemand: Home Visiting with Families during Pregnancy

Home visitors can greatly enrich a mother’s experience throughout her pregnancy, birth and first days of a new family’s life together. By being actively involved during each trimester, you can build a trusting relationship with families and achieve the optimal goal of ensuring they are ready for birth and strong parent-child bonds. This course offers practical tools for you to use during home visits, including encouraging planning for the birth, family member involvement and care post birth. While this course addresses the emotional and physical aspects of the perinatal period, it also prompts you as a learner to reflect on how your personal beliefs about parenting may influence your practice with families.
