Help Get Out the Word on Census 2020

Please remember to complete the Census for your household and encourage others to do so. As of April 28, less than 49 percent of Texas households had completed the survey, compared to almost 54 percent nationally.

It only takes minutes to respond to the survey by phone or online and it’s critical to Texas communities that all residents are counted. This population count determines representation in Congress and affects federal funding for state and local governments and the services they provide.

Plan Now to Celebrate Father's Day

MET Fatherhood

As Mother's Day has recently passed, planning is underway for celebrating fathers and father figures. Last quarter, MET Inc. in New Caney, TX, (Montgomery County) hosted the Effective Fatherhood Summit and was mentioned in the local media.

The Fatherhood Program Coordinator in Family Service Center of Galveston County wrote an article that was published in the Galveston Daily News and created a video about the importance of fathers reading to their children.

Providers are welcome to send their upcoming Father's Day events to be featured in the next issue of Tidbits to peinews@dfps.state.tx.us.

In his current role, he serves as the contracts oversight manager, providing general oversight and guidance to the contract management team.

“I started with PEI working on the Contracting Team as a Contract Technician, processing monthly invoices from our Providers. In his role, Randy on boards and trains new contract managers. He oversees the FY20 ongoing funds maximization project, FY21 budget planning and refresh project. Randy is involved with the Spring Listening Tour and the PIP Conference.

Randy loves spending time with his partner of 13 years, family, friends and my three kitties. He says, “[The pets] are all very happy that I am working from home during this time, because it means extra attention, lap snuggles and treats throughout the day.”

Randy says, “I enjoy nature and love to hike and spend time outdoors. I also enjoy meditation, playing the piano and volunteering.”
