Hop on Board Safely with DCTA

Staying safe and healthy is a team effort! That’s why we’re taking the necessary precautions to make sure our vehicles are safe and clean during COVID-19. Remember, passengers are required to wear a face mask when onboard DCTA vehicles. We also encourage passengers to maintain the recommended social distancing of six feet.

What We’re Doing to Keep You Safe

We have worked diligently during COVID-19 to keep our passengers and employees healthy and ensure a safe commute for our riders.

  • All buses and trains are receiving additional cleanings using a medical-grade disinfecting cleaner as well as a daily spray down using a broad-spectrum disinfectant that is effective against a range of microorganisms for an extended period
  • Additional cleaning (using medical-grade disinfectant) is being placed on high-touch areas such as door handles, crew rooms, countertops, driver consoles and steering wheels
  • No-touch hand sanitizer stations are installed on all agency buses and in facilities
  • Clear vinyl protection barriers are installed in each bus to provide separation between the operator and boarding passengers/fare box

What You Can Do to Keep Yourself and Others Safe

  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Wear a mask when you #RideDCTA
  • Social distance onboard and at bus and train stops

We will continue to evaluate our cleaning processes and add additional measures as needed.
