DDTC Evening On-Demand Zone Service Now Permanent

During our recent August 24 service changes, we made the Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) Evening On-Demand Zone permanent! The on-demand service operates similarly to our Lewisville Lakeway On-Demand, where customers can request a trip using the DCTA On-Demand mobile app that is available for download in the Apple and Google Play stores.

SERVICE HOURS

  • Monday through Friday from 6:20 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. 
  • The service will not run on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

SERVICE AREA

  • This on-demand service is provided from the DDTC to existing stops along Denton Connect Routes 1, 2, 3 and 6.
  • The pickup location for this service is the DDTC, but passengers may be dropped off at any of the stops along those routes.

COST TO RIDE

  • A DCTA Local Day or AM/PM Passes gives riders access to the A-train, Connect Bus Service, Campus Shuttles, Lewisville Lakeway On-Demand and DDTC Evening On-Demand Zone services.
  • University of North Texas (UNT) faculty and staff can ride the DDTC Evening On-Demand service free with a valid ID.

Limited DCTA Service on Labor Day Holiday

We will operate limited service on Labor Day. The Mean Green Night Rider Campus ShuttleUniversity of North Texas (UNT) Lyft program and Highland Village Lyft Discount Program will be the only services operating on Monday, September 7. All other DCTA services will not be in operation.

Our administrative office in Lewisville and the Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) will also be closed for the holiday. All DCTA services and business hours will resume as usual on Tuesday, September 8.
