DCTA to Honor Veterans and Active Military with Free Rides on Veterans Day

We’re excited to honor veterans and military personnel with free rides on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11. To receive free rides all day, veterans and active military personnel must show their military ID, state-issued ID with veteran/military designation or discharge papers to DCTA bus and rail operators.

Our Veterans Day free ride promotion will be valid on the following services:

  • A-train Commuter Rail
  • Denton and Lewisville Connect Bus
  • Highland Village Connect Shuttle
  • Denton Enterprise Airport On-Demand
  • Lewisville Lakeway On-Demand
  • University of North Texas (UNT) and North Central Texas College (NCTC) Campus Shuttles  

Our promotion does not apply to the following DCTA services: Access, Frisco On-Demand service, Highland Village and UNT Lyft discount programs, Collin County Transit, Coppell Lyft Pilot Program and Lewisville Access to Flower Mound Program and North Texas Xpress or vanpool services. In addition, passengers who plan to transfer from DCTA to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will need to have or purchase DART local fare for that portion of their trip.
