Best of North Texas Holiday Celebration at Dallas City Performance Hall
December 6 at 7:30 p.m.
DALLAS: WRR Classical 101.1 is issuing a call for musicians to perform in a special holiday program and broadcast, celebrating the music of North Texas. Professional and talented amateur musicians from all disciplines (not just classical) are invited to submit a CD or DVD of work recorded in the past 12 months, including a work that is appropriate for the holiday season. WRR will select up to six groups to perform in the Best of North Texas Holiday Celebration, Saturday, December 6 at Dallas City Performance Hall, 2520 Flora Street, Dallas, 75201. The artists and the concert will be heavily promoted on WRR 101.1 FM and online.
Those interested should send a CD or DVD to Best of North Texas Holiday Concert, WRR-FM, P.O. Box 570495, Dallas, TX 75315-9001, or drop it off at the station at 1516 1st Avenue, Dallas, 75210. The studios are located in Fair Park. Include the name of the person submitting the material, the name of the group, mailing address, email address and a phone number where you can be contacted during the day and evening. Include your group’s website address, if one is available. All materials must be received by 12:00 noon Wednesday, November 20, 2014. Materials will not be returned. Participants will be selected by WRR. All decisions are final. Should those submitting CDs/DVDs be selected to participate, they will be contracted to perform on December 6 and agree to have their performance broadcast. Performing groups will receive an honorarium of $500 for their performance.
