¡Baila! A Night of Salsa and Bachata

Friday, June 13, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.

 

DALLAS: The Oak Cliff Cultural Center presents ¡Baila! A Special Night of Salsa and Bachata, a celebration of the GET MOVING WEDNESDAYS dance series for the season. Live music will be provided by Abraham Joseph Lopez II who is also a dance instructor for the classes. This fun evening of live music and dance is free and open to the public. ¡Baila! A Night of Salsa and Bachata takes place Friday, June 13th, from 7pm-10pm at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center, 223 W Jefferson Blvd., Dallas, TX 75211.

 

Joseph Lopez II is a dance instructor who has specialized in Bachata, Cha Cha, Mambo, and Salsa for more than 10 years. In 2010 Joseph served as director of New Generation, a high school dance team that performed at the Puerto Rican Salsa Congress. Mr. Lopez has performed in several dance competitions around the state, including the Dallas, Houston and Austin Salsa Congresses. Mr. Lopez is currently teaching privately and can be reached via Facebook.

About the Oak Cliff Cultural Center

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is located in a historic storefront in the vibrant commercial district of Jefferson Avenue in Oak Cliff; the Oak Cliff Cultural Center opened its doors in August 2010. The facility was purchased and renovated by the City of Dallas through the 2003 Bond Program to function as a permanent City-owned arts center where residents and visitors of Oak Cliff could experience a variety of arts and cultural programs. The 5,000 sq. ft. storefront features a visual arts gallery and a dance studio/rehearsal space. The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is open Tuesday/Thursday, 3:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday/Friday, 3:00-6:30p.m., and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
