Residents encouraged to work together to improve neighborhoods

What:           Announcement of the City of Dallas growSouth Neighborhood Challenge Grant Awardees

About the program

The program provides financial assistance to neighborhood-oriented groups to create projects/programs to address specific neighborhood needs and improve quality of life in the growSouth target areas (neighborhoods located south of I-30 east of Downtown or south of the Trinity River west of Downtown) identified by Mayor Mike Rawlings. The Neighborhood Challenge Grant supports key components of the Mayor’s initiative, including strengthening neighborhoods, culture of clean and rebranding southern Dallas.

 

Awards

The winners of growSouth Neighborhood Challenge will be announced to share the wonderful ideas that highlight the southern sector. Neighborhood groups and associations applied to address needs in their communities in creative and innovative ways. Each project achieved the highest rankings from 100-point evaluation criteria. Come and share the exciting news of projects/programs starting in the southern sector over the next year.
