City of Dallas to recognize local restaurant’s water saving efforts;
DWU’s mascot will “Drop Props” at Victoria’s Mexican Grill

What:            As part of the City’s ongoing water conservation outreach to the hospitality industry, Dew, Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) lovable save water mascot, will drop “props” today at Victoria’s Mexican Grill. “Dew Drops Props” is a new program aimed at recognizing restaurants who serve water only on request.

                        Water on request programs save water by eliminating unconsumed glasses of H20 as well as saving the water required to clean those unused glasses. And there are labor savings too, since staff won’t have to fill, deliver, clear and wash all those unwanted glasses of water.

                        About Dew: Dew has been entertaining and educating children and adults about water conservation for years. Being a drop of water himself, Dew cares a lot about water, having lived in oceans, rivers and lakes. After many trips through washing machines, sinks, sprinklers, and drains, he realized how much water is being wasted. Today, he is a vital part of DWU’s water conservation effort, Save Dallas Water. Nothing Can Replace It!
