Opening Reception with the Artist: Saturday, March 8, 2014 (7-9 PM)
DALLAS - The Bath House Cultural Center presents Couples: Half and Half, an exhibition that showcases the artwork of local artist couples. The show runs from March 8 to April 19, 2014. A gallery reception with the artists will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 7 to 9 PM. Both the exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.
The Couples: Half and Half exhibition highlights the artistic accomplishments of sixteen couples from the DFW region who have achieved significant recognition in the visual arts scene of North Texas. Although some of these artists have collaborated with each other as a couple in a number of projects, each of them has gained acclaim and recognition for her or his individual artistic endeavors. The exhibition at the Bath House Cultural Center showcases pieces of art that explore the unique and personal style of the participating artists who are interested not only in projecting their own individuality and vision onto the world of art, but also in celebrating the dynamic synergy and mutual inspiration that results from living together with another creative individual.

The Bath House Cultural Center is a division of the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs. The center is dedicated to fostering the growth, development and quality of multi-cultural arts within the City of Dallas. The center emphasizes innovating visual and performing arts as well as other multi-discipline events throughout the year. Funding for the Bath House Cultural Center is provided by the City of Dallas, with additional support from the Texas Commission on the Arts.
Location and hours: The Bath House Cultural Center is located on the eastern shore of White Rock Lake at the end of Northcliff Dr. off of Buckner Blvd. at 521 E. Lawther, Dallas, TX 75218. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday, 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM. The center is open until 10:00 PM on nights with theatre performances.
