Subaru of America and ASPCA “Share the Love” with Dallas Animal Services;
Public invited to “Stuff the Subaru” with pet food, treats, and bedding
Dallas - In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Subaru of America is helping Dallas Animal Services (DAS) show some love to our four-legged friends.
As part of their new partnership with Sewell Subaru, DAS will receive a new Subaru XV Crosstrek, to be used at adoption and community outreach events. This is made possible by the ASPCA and Subaru of America’s “Love a Pet” program. DAS will also receive a $7,500 Subaru grant provided by the ASPCA to be used for vehicle expenses.
To kick-off the partnership, Sewell Subaru will host a “Stuff the Subaru” event, starting on Valentine’s Day. Through Feb. 22, Sewell Subaru will collect pet food, treats, and bedding at 7800 Lemmon Ave. to benefit DAS. Donations can also be made at Dallas Animal Services, 1818 N. Westmoreland Road.
“We see just about as many dogs in our showroom every week as we do people,” said Sewell Subaru General Manager Doug Veling. “I’m thrilled DAS will be able to use one of our vehicles to help out a cause that is important to both Subaru and to our customers,” he said.
“Dallas Animal Services is fortunate to be chosen as a beneficiary of the longstanding partnership the ASPCA has with Subaru of America,” said DAS Division Manager Jody Jones. “This vehicle will help us share the love and support for the human animal bond throughout the City of Dallas.”
The ASPCA joined with Subaru of America to create the Subaru “Love a Pet” adoption drive program which partners with local Subaru retailers and shelters across the country to promote pet adoption through a number of different initiatives.
