Rainbow-Painted Steps to be Unveiled at Oak Lawn Branch Library 

 

What

Councilmember Paul Ridley, in collaboration with the Office of Arts and Culture, City Manager's Office, Dallas Public Library, LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce Foundation and The Strip on Cedar Springs, will unveil rainbow-painted steps at the Oak Lawn Branch Library. 

 The project was developed through community engagement efforts following the removal of the Oak Lawn rainbow crosswalks. The installation reflects community input and celebrates the Oak Lawn community while highlighting the library's role as a welcoming public gathering space
