Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson attends Bloomberg CityLab in Madrid, Spain
DALLAS—This week, at the invitation of Bloomberg Philanthropies, Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson will represent the City of Dallas at Bloomberg CityLab in Madrid, Spain.
The mayor arrives in Madrid on Sunday, April 26, and he will spend three days in the city to participate in Bloomberg CityLab. Bloomberg Philanthropies is graciously covering the costs of both the mayor’s travel and lodging for this visit.
Bloomberg CityLab is a premier global gathering of mayors and urban leaders focused on advancing innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges facing cities today. Hosted by Bloomberg Philanthropies, CityLab facilitates the sharing of ideas, highlights international innovation, and helps cities develop practical strategies to drive economic growth and shape the future of urban life.
“As a proud international city, Dallas is part of a global network that leads the world in innovation and collaboration," said Mayor Johnson. "Bloomberg CityLab provides an exceptional opportunity to engage with other world-class cities and bring back ideas we can use to benefit the residents of Dallas."
Mayor Johnson’s participation in CityLab builds on Dallas’s membership in the Bloomberg City Data Alliance, which Dallas joined last year. The program brings together leading cities across the Americas to promote the best use of data and artificial intelligence to deliver public services. Through the alliance, Dallas is using data from across City departments to improve park safety and accessibility.
