DALLAS - The Dallas City Council has officially given the approval to submit an application and resolution to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) for a $3 million grant that would help propel the Community Park at Fair Park into its next exciting phase of growth. These funds would support the park’s expansion and bring new amenities to life for the community.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to receive this grant,” said City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert. “With these funds, we’ll be able to elevate the park experience and create an even more welcoming and vibrant space for the Fair Park neighborhood and visitors from across Dallas.”
Thanks to last year’s passage of Senate Bill 1, the City of Dallas was identified as a recipient of funding for the Community Park at Fair Park. After TPWD receives the required application and resolution, the department will issue an agreement for the City’s signature. Once fully authorized, the funds will officially be awarded, clearing the way for exciting enhancements to begin.
