Revised: City officials to commemorate the completion of the Bachman Lake Dam and Spillway Rehabilitation Project

What	The public and the media are invited to join City of Dallas officials for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Bachman Lake Dam and Spillway Rehabilitation Project. This event highlights the important investment in infrastructure resilience, flood protection and community amenities. Immediately following the ceremony, the new section of trail along the rehabilitated dam will be open to the public. The ceremony will include brief remarks from City leadership and a ceremonial ribbon-cutting near the newly constructed spillway.

When	10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2026
Where	Public parking is available at the Bachman Lake Recreation Center, 2750 Bachman Dr., Dallas, TX 75220. The ceremony will be held at the project site on the southwest side of the lake. DWU staff will assist guests to the event site. Please arrive 30 minutes early to allow time to get to the event location from the parking area. Attendees are encouraged to wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes.
