City of Dallas Announces Love Your Block Mini-Grants are Available for Community-Led Neighborhood Revitalization Projects

DALLAS - Building on the success of the previous Love Your Block grant cycle, the City of Dallas has announced that applications are open for Year 2 of Love Your Block grant funding to support resident-led neighborhood revitalization projects across the city.

Through Love Your Block, the City of Dallas is inviting residents to propose hands-on projects that address local needs. Funded projects may include neighborhood cleanups, small beautification efforts, or other improvements. Mini-grant applications should reflect a strong commitment to community pride, neighborhood beautification, and civic engagement.

With support from the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University, the Love Your Block program brings city leaders and residents together to build stronger neighborhoods, one block at a time. Love Your Block grants fund resident-led neighborhood revitalization projects—from transforming vacant lots into community gardens to repairing playground equipment and removing trash from a public right-of-way—in communities across the United States, strengthening social cohesion among residents, increasing civic participation, and building stronger relationships with community members, leading to greater trust in local government.

“Love Your Block empowers residents to take ownership of neighborhood improvements while strengthening community pride and partnerships with the City,” said Code Compliance Director Chris Christian.

Applications for the Love Your Block grant are open as of  February 14, 2026, and will remain open until March 15, 2026. Residents interested in learning more about the Love Your Block program in Dallas and accessing the application can visit kdbccs.org.
