Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson to meet with aerospace business leaders in Montréal, Canada
DALLAS—Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson will travel to Montréal, Canada, to meet with aerospace industry leaders and invite businesses to expand their presence in Dallas.
Mayor Johnson will arrive in Montréal on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 16, and return to Dallas on the night of Wednesday, December 17.
In Montreal, Mayor Johnson will meet with the leaders of major Canadian aerospace companies—most notably, Bombardier, which has a large maintenance, repair, and operations center at Dallas Love Field Airport.
“Dallas is in an exciting chapter of business expansion and international growth,” said Mayor Johnson. “This trip will strengthen our existing relationships with Canadian aerospace leaders like Bombardier while opening the door to new investment from Canadian companies eager to jump on the Dallas train.”
North Texas is a major hub of the aerospace sector, and Dallas’s business connections with Canada have grown under Mayor Johnson’s Administration. For example, The Bank of Nova Scotia, a Toronto-based banking and financial services company, will soon open a major regional office in Victory Park after reaching an economic incentive agreement with the City earlier this year.
