The City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture hosts Public Art Dedication Ceremony at Bachman Lake Skate Park

What

A new mural by artist Jieun Kim will be on display at the Bachman Lake Skate Park. Revolving around the theme of “home” the piece is perceived through the lens of an immigrant. Drawing inspiration from Kim's cultural roots and the rich landscapes of Korea, the artists’ homeland, this mural is informed by the rich history of skateboarding in the Bachman Lake community, as well as the neighborhood as a place where various pre-established immigrant networks uplift each other generation to generation.

Hosted by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and Dallas Park and Recreation Department, residents are invited to celebrate the public art installation at the free and open to the public event.
