DALLAS - On July 8, 2025, the Dallas Municipal Court building at 2014 Main Street was damaged by water from the heavy rain Tuesday evening. Every floor throughout the building was impacted.
As a result, the Dallas Municipal Court building will be closed to the public until at least July 16, 2025. Facilities and Real Estate Management (FRM) and a damage restoration vendor are on-site cleaning, removing water, and protecting undamaged computers and courtroom equipment. During this time, FRM will assess and review all damage throughout the building and restore it to working standards.
The Court will reset all trials and notify residents by mail of their new court date. Effective immediately, court clerk lobby services such as in-person payments, scheduling court dates and payment arrangements will temporarily be conducted at the Dallas Marshal’s Office located at 1600 Chestnut Street. Court staff will be working at this location from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
