From Fragments to Form: Explorations in Sculptural Construction showcases the creative diversity of three-dimensional media through the work of sixteen Texas artists from the DFW and Waco area. The artists delve into the malleable and expressive qualities of sculpture in an exhibition that demonstrates the medium’s potential for creative transformation and innovation.
The exhibition highlights personal and evocative artworks crafted using techniques such as assemblage, found objects, ceramics, and other sculptural practices. Each piece reflects the additive nature of sculptural construction, emphasizing the boundless possibilities inherent in the creative process.
The show includes works by Vasfie Abderafi, Henry Aschner, Rita Barnard, Ben Gus, Lisa Huffaker, Roberta Masciarelli, T.C. Oliver, Ivette Ramos Levy, Todd Smith, Janice Somerville, Joaquin Soto, Elise Techentine, Samuel Torres, Jose Vargas, Terri Wilder, and Vladimir Zúñiga.
Enrique Fernández Cervantes curated the exhibition.
MORE DETAILS
Intertwined Detritus shines a light on challenges facing White Rock Lake and other bodies of water across the globe. Created by Dallas artist Jane Cornish Smith, the exhibition underscores how trash and silt threaten the viability and health of community waters, both environmentally and visually. It is through awareness that the exhibition goal of inspiring increased recycling, cleanup, and single-use efforts will become a reality, bettering the environment for wildlife and citizens alike.
The exhibition incorporates trash collected largely from White Rock Lake during monthly volunteer cleanups facilitated by the Dallas organization For the Love of the Lake, along with more traditional art media.
The artist is presenting art pieces that aim to raise aesthetic awareness among gallery visitors about the importance of lake health, beauty, and safety—both in general and specifically for White Rock Lake, located just steps from the Bath House.

In his new exhibition at the Bath House Cultural Center, North Texas art photographer James Flowers presents meticulously composed images made from found objects, weaving visual narratives that explore the connection between humanity and the universe. Blending elements of science, mythology, and imagination, the artist uses photography not only to document reality but also to transform ordinary materials into meaningful and deeply symbolic compositions that blur the line between objectivity and subjectivity.
James’s intricate compositions incorporate man-made and natural elements such as plants, insects, masking tape, cast-off hardware, clippings from printed publications, and various other items that are often overlooked or discarded. He sees an aesthetic potential in these organisms and objects and thoughtfully reimagines them into striking visual arrangements that carry a sense of mystery and quiet intensity.
